Geography is the study of Earth and of the distribution of life. Studying Geography will give you the opportunity to develop your awareness and understanding of the world
in which you live. You will develop your knowledge of locations, places, processes and environments; you will look at a variety of geographical scales from local to global and at a range of temporal skills.

Geography is unique in that it can be both a Humanities and a Science subject at university, depending on the subjects it is combined with at A Level.
Geography is great for any kind of career that involves the environment, planning, or collecting and interpreting data. Popular careers for people with geography qualifications include: town or transport planning, surveying, conservation, sustainability, environmental planning, tourism, and weather forecasting.
The army, police, government, research organisations, law and business world also appreciate the practical research skills that geographers develop.

Studying geography gave me a distinct and stable platform of geographical understanding into core concepts and topics with equal balance of focus to both human and physical geography.
