Progression and Career Opportunities

Students typically progress to study German with another language, possibly Spanish or Italian, or even Arabic, at university. Language-based careers can include teaching, translation and interpreting, working with a language in a sales or export environment, in business development or as a logistics specialist, working abroad or in a multinational company.

Studying A Level German has been invaluable to me in finding jobs and opportunities to study abroad over the summer and Newcastle Sixth Form College provided me with an excellent grounding in the language to be able to study at this level.
